Festivities !!!!!

It's always nice to talk about festivities, in this occasion I'll talk about my favourite one, New Year's Eve, is on the last day of the year December 31 according to the Gregorian calendar. It origin dates back to the XIV century when the pope Gregorio XIII isntalled it with the purpose to replace the julian calendar and so the New Year began to be celebrated in many catholic countries in Europe and then all over the world.
This is my favorite festivity because all the familly reunites for a big dinner and have some fun, singing, eating watching the fireworks  and mostly talking about the year that has pass and the one thats coming. I like this very much because is in this time when I think about my life and the fact that is great to be alive to see a new day.

My favorite piece of technology

Hello people, in this opportunity I'm going to talk to you about my favorite piece of technology, the laptop, I got it a couple of years ago for my birthday because I needed to do my homework and stuff like that, although I also use it to listen to music or play video games, it is very helpful to look up for information or watch videos that help me to study now that I'm in college.

I usually use it in the afternoon when I get back from college but in the weekends I use it mostly during the day when  I have some free time.

Sometimes I think about what my life would be without this piece of technology, and I guess that it wouldn't be that bad, I think that I could survive without it.             

What I want for my future.

I have always been a fan of music, since I was a child I listened to different kinds of music, I think it was because of my mom and dad, who liked to turn on the radio or put CD's during most of the day.

But I think that one time when my parents gave me a guitar for Christmas was when I knew it, I wanted to study music and learn about the different kinds of music and instruments, that was my dream.

By the time I finished high-school I had very clear what I was going to study: Sound Engineering, at that time my other career options were similar, music theory, composition, even I thought about audiovisual communication but finally I decided for Sound because it was the most complete career in my opinion, the laboral field is very wide.

Now I'm fulfilling my dream studying what I chose for me, it is very fun and every day is a challenge, I'm learning a lot about music and arts but also I have math, algebra and calculus, that makes it even better. 

In the future I would like to work in a music studio for a recording company or a TV channel or even radio listening to music every day and watch new musicians closely.

Who am I ?

Hello world, in this post I'll tell you about me,  my name is Matías Espinoza I am 18 years old, I was born in 1998 in Santiago de Chile, I live with my parents and my 13 years old sister, I studied at the Bahia Darwin elementary and later in Liceo Manuel Barros Borgoño. Now I'm in college studying sound engineering at the Universidad de Chile, I'm very proud of it.

I think I am mad about movies, I've seen a lot of movies, often thrillers and suspense kind, The Secret Window or Zodiac are my personal favourites.

Another thing I like very much is music, in my life I've listened to many music types, usually from the 70', 80', 90' decades, but lately I've been listening folkloric music of my country like Los Jaivas, Inti-Illimani, etc. This music inspired me to learn how to play musical instruments, now I know how to play guitar, charango and a little keyboard, but I want to learn more.

This is it for now, I'am just 18 years old, life awaits for me.  

A little about me.

Hello, my name is Matías Espinoza, I am in my first year in college, I´m studying sound engineering at the Universidad de Chile. I have an English class and I like it very much because, in this time, knowing how to speak English is important to develop as a professional. I don´t listen to English music very often but when I do, I try to understand the lyrics of the song, however I always watch movies or tv series in English, I like to listen to the original language of the film, sometimes with the subtitles in English. I think that the most difficult aspect for me is the grammar and vocabulary, it is hard for me remembering some words. I believe that this blog will help me to overcome my problem regarding the vocabulary.
